Fulfillment by Fraud: A Financial and Cyber Case Study Involving Identity Theft and Shipment Fraud
The exponential increase in technology development since the 1980s has resulted in the fall of the mini-mall and rise of electronic commerce, wherein retailers use third parties to fulfill orders. Due to the rise of eCommerce, law enforcement has seen an increase in account takeovers, shipment fraud, and money laundering. This presentation will present a case study of a large scale enterprise in which two popular eCommerce providers were vectors for fraud and money laundering; as well as potential countermeasures to prevent said fraud.
Attendees will be entitled to 2 CPE credits!
