The NYCFE is pleased to present Andrea Bonime-Blanc, CEO of GEC Risk Advisory, on April 9,2014 at an Ethics seminar. Joining Andrea will be Dora Gomez, NYCFE Director and Board member.
Both will present "Building Sustainable Integrity into Corporate DNA - Strategic Considerations."
Seminar Overview:
Andrea Bonime-Blanc will present a practical framework to understand what organizations need to do to build long-term resilience and integrity. The presentation will include consideration of the role of effective ethics, compliance and anti-fraud programs, and a strategic road map and practical framework to achieve such sustainability.
Dora Gomez will discuss the relationship between ethical culture and fraud risk. Understanding the fraud and misconduct risks is essential but sometimes undermined in the business' objectives.
This event is good for 2 CPE Ethics credits, and are good for ACFE.

BIO - Andrea Bonime-Blanc, JD/PhD, CEO, GEC Risk Advisory

Dr. Bonime-Blanc is CEO of GEC Risk Advisory, the global governance, risk, integrity, reputation and crisis advisory firm (www.GECRisk.com) serving executives, boards, investors, and advisors in a diversity of sectors. She is author of The Reputation Risk Handbook: Surviving and Thriving in the Age of Hyper-Transparency [Do Sustainability http://bit.ly/1284TMR], a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a board director, and program director at The Conference Board. She is an Ethisphere 2014 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics and a 2014 Top 100 Thought Leader in Trustworthy Business.
Dr. Bonime-Blanc held c-suite roles in diverse industries heading governance, legal, compliance, risks, crisis, internal audit, and CSR functions. Including at Bertelsmann, the global media conglomerate, Verint Systems, a technology firm, and PSEG Global, an international power company. She began her career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, received a Joint JD/PhD from Columbia University, and was born and raised in Europe. She tweets @ GlobalEthicist.
BIO - Dora Gomez, CFE, CRMA

Dora is an Audit and Anti-Fraud professional with significant international experience. She started her career in public accounting and transitioned into the financial services/insurance industry. Currently, as Director of Internal Controls at an international market-leading global information services company, she is responsible for ensuring proper risk assessment of internal controls, guidance on risk mitigation, IT Security, compliance issues, and special reviews.
Dora was part of the AXA Group for almost 17 years. She was the Global Fraud Officer for AXA Technology Services where she created the company’s Anti-Fraud Policy, investigated fraud/ whistle blower incidents, developed fraud awareness training, and evaluated fraud risk assessments. She held positions as Audit Chief of Staff and Risk Officer – establishing the audit department’s global departmental practices and governance. Her work included being a trusted advisor in compliance, risk, and security matters, especially with establishing regulatory guidelines.
She received her Accounting Degree from Pace University and serves as a Director and Board member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, New York Chapter (NYCFE) and the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA.)
